Hi Everyone,

I received OINP Master's stream ITA(Non-express entry) last Sep 2024. It is still under Assessment for 4 months now.
From April 2025, I will be eligible for CEC and I have a decent chance to get into them. Since the Non-EE PNP processing time is now close to two years, I am leaning towards going with CEC for lesser processing time.
Provided that I get nominated before CEC ITA, would it be an issue if I hold the nomination certificate and continue with Express Entry CEC? (Keeping the nomination certificate as backup until it expires). Or should I withdraw my OINP application to avoid issues when going through CEC?

I probably won't get refund for withdrawing OINP Application anyways so I am curious if I can keep the nomination as a back up without causing any issue for CEC application.
P.S., I currently have a profile in EE Pool as I am eligible for FSW.

You can try for both in parallel.

As you stated, you probably won't get refunded for the OINP application. I would leave it. If you get ITA through CEC, apply and follow that path even if you get OINP nomination. No issue at all.

If get your nomination and you still haven't received ITA for CEC, your nomination is valid for 6 months, so technically you could still wait to apply for PR through non-EE. But non-EE the timelines are really long nowadays.
