I got promoted after I applied for CEC. I am not sure if I should inform CEC about this change. In the document checklist, CIC has asked to inform them only for the following,

family status change, change in education (completion of another degree), email address or mailing address change.

So, not sure if I should inform them or not. I would welcome advice from anyone who have encountered a similar situation.

No need - you are being evaluated on the experience you listed in your application. It's a pass/fail system, so there is no difference once you meet the eligibility requirements.

Hey seton, thanks for your quick response

but you can always use this as an "excuse" to email them if you want to inquire about status of your case

they certainly wouldn't reject your case simply because you wanted to share some good news with them....

My opinion c'est au contraire - I would avoid unnecessary communication as much as possible.

yes, even I am feel the same way..do not want to provide lots of unnecessary information which might delay the processing.
