Hi Guys,

Thank you all for the help you have been! Please advice me on the below confusion:

I started working for my company from 9th June 2014 but my work permit ended on 18 May 2015. So, I sent a request application to CIC asking them to extend my work permit without lmia. But I stopped working for 1 month(18 May2015 - 18 June 2015) until I got to know that I could work even after my work permit has expired until I receive a decision on my application, so I worked till 31st August 2015 thus I completed my 1 year 2 months work experience in this way.

Also, I was paid less salary on the first month(June 2015) as a trainee( it is mentioned on my job contract as well).

Do you think that the one month unpaid leave (break) that I took after working for 11 months(almost) would disqualify me for the 1 year work experience points that I gained in my EE profile (as I did not mention about this break in my EE profile)??
How does unpaid leave of absence affect my 1 year work experience points in EE?

And should I explain(in LOE) that my first month was training that is why the first pay stub has less amount?

The unpaid leave would affect you as the skilled work that you do must be paid.

You should not be counting this month of unpaid absence.

Thank you DelPiero07, gave you +1 !

But in my case, even after deducting one month unpaid leave. I have 1 year 2 month of work experience in same position at same company. Do you think that this would still affect my application/EE points ?

So, I will explain that 1 month break in LOE also it is mentioned in my experience letter as well.
And do I need to attach the job contract to prove first month training period?

If you're applying under CEC that unpaid month won't affect you're eligibility, as long as you declare that

Since you will still earn the same points, I don't see any issue with that. You didn't do so to claim higher points.
