Hi,

I had created my profile early in Jan and it was eligible, however in June my IELTS expired so my profile became ineligible. I have now taken IELTS again, but now when i try to create a new profile i get profile ineligible. I have already tried this twice and both times its the same. I simply cant understand what is the problem:

My details are:

NOC Code 0213
Education: Master's degree (earned in 2007) - ECA done
Experience: 20+ experience overall with 7+ in 0213
IELTS: 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5
Funds: $50K
Canadian Education: none
Canadian Experience: none
Age: 47+

In FSW, my score is:
1. Your score for Education: 23/25
2. Your score for Official Languages: 24/28
3. Your score Work Experience: 15/15
4. Your score for Age: 0/12
5. Your score for Arranged Employment: 0/10
6. Your score for Adaptability: 10/10

TOTAL 72/100

What am i doing wrong?

Sorry didn't mention that.

Adaptability score of 10 is for:
a) Spouse level of English proficiency above CLB 4 (7.5,7,6,6) - 5 points
b) Relatives in Canada - sibling is Canadian citizen - 5 points

Hi,

Anyone has any idea why i keep getting profile ineligible? This just completely baffles me.

Some of the things that come to mind include:

a) bug on the site - is this possible?
b) Limit to the number of profiles that can be submitted within a specific period of time. I submitted 2 profiles in 2 days - does this matter?

Is there any possibility to get in touch with CIC to know the exact problem? do they even answer to these kind of queries?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have just tried to submit an Express Entry profile twice and it's also saying ineligible. I'm not sure if some requirements might have changed? I noticed that several links to the FSW and CEC programs are not working on the CIC website - could they be making changes? I have carefully checked my profile and I cannot see the problem.

My details are:

NOC Code 1221 (B)
Education: Two Bachelor's degrees (complete 2004) - ECA done
Experience: 3 years in this NOC
IELTS: 11, 12, 12, 12
Funds: $15K
Canadian Education: none
Canadian Experience: 1+ year in this NOC
Age: 18-35

In FSW, my score is:
1. Your score for Education: 22/25
2. Your score for Official Languages: 24/28
3. Your score Work Experience: 9/15
4. Your score for Age: 12/12
5. Your score for Arranged Employment: 0/10
6. Your score for Adaptability: 10/10 (1 year's work in Canada level B)

TOTAL 77/100

Hi,

I am starting to suspect there could be a bug in the CIC software with regards calculation of points for FSW. I see no other problem in my application. The "same" details were accepted as eligible in Feb this year (became Ineligible because of expired EILTS), but now are now not being accepted.

There is one other very apparent bug that I have seen, when you are entering spouse details - under Study and Languages:

Can xyz communicate in English and/or French?

Ans: English

Has xyz taken an approved language test to assess their French skills? this should have been English and not French - this is a clear bug

Then

Language test taken?

I only get one option IELTS - which in an English test.

My issue is - if such a small and apparent bug has not been corrected in all this time, there is a very real possibility of there may be other bugs in the software and we are just creating profile after profile without any luck.

What can be done?

Hi,

Yes I have entered my spouse's IELTS details.

Is there any particular requirement on the minimum number of years of education? I have a Masters degree which is verified by WES as Masters degree. Is this enough to get the score of 23/25 for FSW Education? or do I have to include my other past education which do not have ECA?

Check the following:

1) How many people in your family? $15k is not enough for FSW if you have more than two family members total (whether accompanying or not).
2) How many NOC codes do you have experience in? Is there a difference in the NOC code between the foreign and the Canadian experience? If so, what have you selected as your primary NOC code?
Hi Dan, Thanks for your suggestions.
1) It is only me so $15k should be more than enough.
2) I have experience in 3 NOC codes. I am primarily using NOC 1221, which is my Canadian job (1+ years) and I have 1+ years also in Australia for it. The first time I submitted, I put all NOCS in. The second time I tried only listing the 2 jobs with matching NOC. But it didn't help.

Could it be something to do with schooling? I listed only high school (6 years) and University (4), does it require more?

Thank you!

I have just realised that I did CELPIP. Not IELTS. Could this be the problem?

GC, I cannot see what the problem with yours could be ...

Hi Nico,

The CIC site says "CELPIP has three different tests. You must take the “CELPIP-General 2014” test to support your immigration application." Do you have this?

In my case, I can't understand what is wrong. I had the exact replica of this profile working since Feb, but now I am ineligible.

Anyway, I am waiting to see if I can get any hint from anyone on this, I can't keep on filling profile after profile without knowing what is wrong.

Hi,

My IELTS results (8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5) are of 2015. My ECA is dated Dec 2013.

I have checked and re-checked, I am meeting ALL requirements.

Maybe the idea of starting completely fresh is worth trying.
