Hi All,

I applied for submitted my Express Entry profile and received a Profile Ineligible.

Age 32
Education (All UK based)- Bachelor's Degree (3 years)
College Diploma (2 years)
High School (5 years)

Language; IELTS General L:8.5 R:8 W:7 S:9

NOC: 2282

Work Experience; 5 years in relevant NOC field.

$15000 of savings.

I don't currently have and ECA which I'm hoping is the cause. My question is do I need and ECA for all of my declared education or just the highest level (degree). Any other insights would be great if there's something else I should be aware of.

Many thanks for your time.

Mark

ECA and Language Test are a requirement to create a profile so that would be the most likely reason.

Also, you only need to get the highest degree or level of education evaluated. That is what your points are based on in the education category.

You will still need to mention the rest in your education or personal history in the profile but only your highest degree counts towards calculating your points.

WES provides a good service and can usually get your degree assessed within 3-4 weeks.

I would say get both the 3 years degree's and 2 years diploma's ECA done if they are not attached (as they are both from UK right?), as in you did not use you diploma credits to get your degree. that way you will get 128 points for two or more degree, diplomas or certificate one of which should be more then 3 years.

that's my opinion maybe the seniors can correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, both are from the UK. The Degree and Diploma are completely separate.

Interested to see if others agree with ashrafk.

Many thanks,

Mark

You will get more points if you get both the bachelor's degree and the diploma evaluated...

WES charges the same price no matter how many degrees you have evaluated. If they count your 2 year college degree appropriately, you can qualify for 2 diploma category, which would give you 8 additional points over just the bachelor degree.

See link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

Check the level,of education section.

Whether you qualify for just the bachelor category or the two or more diplomas depends on results of your WES evaluation but assuming it all goes well, getting both degrees evaluated will get you 8 extra points and it wont cost you any more either way, no matter the result. Definitely worth it.

You can find all instructions for ECA here:

Go there:

http://www.wes.org/ca/application/apply_now.asp

Choose the country and the choose ECA for CIC Immigration.

That way it will be in the right format for CIC to accept your ECA report. You can also find the instructions for your country and what documents you need to send yourself and which ones you need from your university in a sealed envelope.

You can have all degrees you have assessed, as the price is the same no matter if you have them assess 1 or 4 degrees at one time. Your report will then include the Canadian equivalence of all your degrees you submitted the documents for. Your report also comes with a number and thats what you need to enter when you create your EE profile to show you had your degrees assessed.
