Profile-freezing after ITA

Hi guys,

I was digging through the forum and I'm a bit confused about the profile-freezing after ITA. Once I get an ITA - will my points be frozen there? I saw the messages that it is frozen but, on the other hand, a lot of people mention that they are able to delete work experience records after ITA. So is the profile frozen or not and in which way?

PS. I have enough points and expect an ITA on April, however, at the 1st of May the system may count me 3 years of work experience which won't be true in fact (if I count the days, not the months). If the points in my profile get increased automatically after ITA - I'll have a situation where the points are added by the system too early and, thus, they will be calculated in wrong way, which will force me to postpone my e-APR application. I don't want to run into this situation. So if the points get frozen after my April's ITA - then I'm OK in May. That's what I wondering about.

Will appreciate any hint!

The PRE-ITA profile is frozen for all.

But what you might have heard is the Post-ITA profile that people can change before final submission. In some cases, you can change the POST-ITA profile as long as your points are not going down based on which you received the ITA.

Pre ITA profile is frozen and you can see a lock next to it. You can make changes but you will have to give explanations why you have changed it and the score should not fall below the cut off. Once you receive your ITA, all your details and amendments are logged into the GCMS

Based on your question, I know what you mean !

You were asking the frozen, which means change in scores due to natural causes (birthday and change in age, expiring IELTS, etc). The profile is frozen at that score, which means if you will have birthday during this time, you will not loose points for age. That explains frozen as far as your question in concerned.

For people making changes post ITA, is the case when CRS is not affected. Example: You had past work experience of 3 years with company A, another 5 years experience with your current Job in organization B. While filling your EE profile you mentioned both of these to claim CRS points. Once you receive ITA, and you discover the Organization A is not willing to give you experience certificate. Immediately you are in a situation where you will have to change your profile and discard old experience. This is acceptable, though the information you changed was of prime importance, but it doesn't affect your CRS at all.

However, you would like to mention the reason of this change in your Letter of Explanation. I hope it clarifies.

Good luck..
