I am really confused regarding a section in EE profile creation and need your advice. Below is my case.
I have hired a consultant to represent my profile. However, i thought i can go through some express entry profile creation tutorials and understand what questions are being asked so that i can provide correct answers to my consultant.
There i came across this question,
“date the applicant first became qualified to practice this occupation.”?
I am a BE computer science engineer from India. I finished my Exams in 2012 April and got my degree certificate in 2012 October.
My NOC is 2174. I started my first job by 2014 March and continue to work in this same job.
When i first saw this question, i thought i should provide the year and month when i completed my BE Computer science, since that is the minimum educational qualification mentioned in the NOC description.
However, when i asked my consultant, he says it should be the year and month when i first started working and practicing this NOC.
He justifies by saying that, though i finished the minimum education mentioned in NOC description back in 2012, I did not actually start working in that. Only by 2014 when i started working, that NOC became valid. So it should be 2014.
I am really confused here. What should be the right answer here? Is my consultant right in his point and should it be the date when i first started working in this NOC , that is 2014 March?
If I am right, then should i enter the month i fished the exam (2012 , April) or the month i got my degree certificate(2012 , october)
Please help me. I am really confused about the way forward.
