Professional referene check letters

Dear Members,

I have applied for PR under Skilled Worker category (NOC 0213). Having spoken to my company HR, I can't arrange for experience reference letters from my company. Also, my designation with company is Software Engineer rather than IT Manager, although I have been working in same profile.

My question: What kind, format and how many in number of professional reference check letters are required?

Read your visa office-specific instructions for the requirements.

CIC would rather have a letter from a direct supervisor than HR. Ask your supervisor.

BTW, CIC is being swamped with software engineers applying as managers. Unless you have a really strong case based on the main responsibilities, it is likely to be rejected.

You need one from your Boss or your HR head. It needsw to be on the Letter head of Org and they generally verify by calling the signing authority and in some cases visit the office

I'm not a software engineer, in fact never have been. I'm a systems admin and have lead a team of consultants for implementation of software package for 1.5 years. Presently I'm working in release management. Will try what you suggested.

One last query: Is one enough? I have shown experience under 0213 NOC for two different time periods.

If they are with the same company, one is enough, but it should cover all the details for each time period. Otherwise, you will need 2.
