Professional Lawyer or Apply yourself

Hello Seniors

I need some advice regarding my CEC application preparation. I am qualifying all the requirements for CEC application , but now i am double minded : that should I prepare my fill my self or should I hire a professional lawyer ? Do you think a lawyer plays very important role in file preparation . Any reply or helpful advice will be appreciated .

If you ask me, a lawyer just means additional expenses for you. I filled out all the
forms with the help of the instruction guide from CIC and this forum.
You can always ask a lawyer to proof read your application once you gathered all
documents and filled out the forms.
But after filling out my forms, I'm glad I didn't hire anyone to do it, because it's actually
pretty straight forward.

Most people I know did it themselves.
I chose to use a lawyer.
At the end of the day, CEC is relatively black and white - pass/fail. Some things can be argued for sure but at the end of the day, seeking help is a personal choice

You do not need a lawyer or consultant but having one doesn't hurt. If you are not comfortable with filling forms and collecting and organizing documents then you might need some assistance. There is nothing "special" about the application but you have to provide all that is required carefully according to CEC guide and checklist.

Don't use too many emoticons if you decide to do it yourself
