Hello !

I am planning to register to APEGBC, and their requirement is that transcripts to be sent in a sealed envelop to their office by the University.

I wanna know if they require certified / attested copies from my university or they are asking for original transcripts to be sent by my University.

If anyone has experience with APEGBC, kindly shed some light.

Regards

First you need to apply for transcripts at the university from where you obtained your degree, go to the university, fill the prescribed form, pay the nominal charges, the clerk will tell you the time to come to receive transcripts as it takes 2 to 3 weeks to prepare them. Don't give them extra charges to get it immediately. Then go there at mentioned time, and receive transcripts, which will be sealed by the university. Then send it through courier to the destination.

Hi everyone
I landed about a week ago, and just finished applying for the EIT status. I recieved a mail from the apegbc recommending to change my application to Peng instead, I will be called for an interview to see if ces exams can be waived . Has anyone gone through this way before? What kind of questions can I expect? I don't want to make a fool of myself just so that a few exams can waived, I prefer to know exactly what expect before making the choice to switch applications. Any advice will be much appreciated ;D
Oh i almost forgot ,I'm from mauritius did my degree there too, Beng (hons) electrical and electronics engineering and have been working for the past 7yrs.

Hi Seemo,

Thanks for your information. I don't have that kind of experience.

If you have either bachelor or Master Degree from one of the Washington Accord University, APEGBC will waive all of your academic exams. So you only need to do (i) report writing (ii) PPE exam (iii) Attend Seminar (iv) 1 year Canadian experience working under PE.

After APEGBC waive all of your academic exam, and if you are preparation for PPE Exam, please let me know.

Keep in touch. Currently I am back to Singapore and planning to come to BC permanently around June,2016. Thanks.

Best Regards,
Myat

Is your university falls under list of Washington Accord Universities?

No andy6835. Its does not fall under washington accord universities. But Mauritius is a commonwealth country and our bachelor degrees are normally accepted by universities for further studies.

Hi Guys,

I have P. Eng license from Engineers Australia.
Do you expect any problem with APEGBC to apply for P. Eng Licence? As far i know, i need to be Charted Engineer from Engineers Australia to use teh shortcut path of skills assessment. Please advise.

Hello all,

I have a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Asia. After that, I have done a two-year diploma in Automation/Instrumentation from Canada. I also have 2 years of Canadian work experience in Instrumentation/Controls/Automation field in which I am interested to continue working. I don't want to become EIT in MECHANICAL discipline. I reside in the beautiful province of British Columbia, so I am seeking to become EIT with either APEGBC or APEGA in the discipline of Instrumentation/Controls/Automation. So my questions as follow,

(1) Which is better? APEGA or APEGBC? and How?
(2) Can I become an EIT in the discipline of Instrumentation/Controls/Automation/Robotics/Mechatronics, even though my 4-year degree is in just Mechanical discipline which does not exactly match with the discipline I am seeking to pursue my career in?

Please, any advise.
Thanks,

I am fine with any of these disciplines(Instrumentation/Controls/Automation/Robotics/Mechatronics) to become an EIT.
