Just 2 weeks... on the CIC website , they are working on papers received Dec. 9, 2011 (same employer). i don't know how they did it but it is really a blessing! Just keep on praying!

I sent it thru snail mail.

WOW!!! To think that mailed in applications takes 41 days (as per CIC website) to process!!!! You must really be blessed :) Your PR processing is probably nearing its completion :)

Hi job seeker....
I need your suggestion....I wants to transfer my LMO from one employer to new....so i just wants to know how much recruitment efforts are enough to get the positive LMO again???...I know this my new employer job but he don't know anything about the rules....so he put the add in job bank, monster and in special job weekly newspaper....what do you think, Is that much add enough to show the recruitment efforts???
n what are the other things to take care of...to get the positive LMO???
please reply....

The ad should be up for at least 14 days (meaning, you or any one else should be able to see it for at least 14 days); the wages should be at least the prevailing rates for the position (not lower).

Online apps are taking about 7 to 14 days too. They are cleaning house as they are implementing GCMS at the end of the month in Vegreville.

Thank katniss, i really hope to have my LMO next week ( apllied at 7 of nov)

Hi Ellif,

My employer have applied on the same date.First time application. He was telling to brace for a longer than usual result ???. Please post yours when it's out ha.. Thanks :)

Great to know! Hope Service Canada does something about their processing too. Looks like it's a deliberate ploy to slow down LMOs so Vegreville can catch up on its backlog.

I can see how it looks like that. But it's not. Two different departments and computer systems. Roll out of GCMS was planned since 2008. I'll bet the backlog will be back at CIC once it's up and running. And Service Canada doesn't look like it's going to speed up anytime soon without more manpower. And there's some contract negotiation going on as well that has been a bit dicey according to the news reports.
