Oh wow...11 months for Buffalo now. I feel nauseous...

"The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2009, and September 30, 2010. Processing times are subject to change."

Maybe they are rounding times up, to limit our expectations?

So much for the Government announcement about getting more family members back together.

I hope they are rounding them up. I am running VERY low on money, since my hubby is here with me "visiting", and cannot work. Last thing I need is another medical to pay. Since the medical is "not important" they should waive the 1 yr expiry...or I need to start buying lotto tickets lol They slack off, and we pick up the tab. Can you imagine paying a mechanic $1040 to inspect your car, and having to wait 11 months for a verdict? I started this process in a good mood, but am rapidly deteriorating into crabbiness!!!

I am hopeful that with all the PR approval given on here from those that submitted in July that they are just giving us the longest time it will take based on that 80%. Remember that they are looking at a year of applications and it may have been a big immigration time. Trying to stay positive.

Stay in a good mood, plenty of applications will be complete before the time shown on the site.

Remember these times are the 80% of cases (the numbers were on the old list), it is just we all looked at the shortest possible time.

I suspect nothing has changed except the web page.

Depending on the country you re in also!. It is now faster to process inland

I didn't realize they changed the format for the processing times page. I don't like it at all.

Before Buffalo was a range from 4-10 months I believe with the 80% of applications finalized on the high end. So really the 30% in 4 months should still apply, they just removed these categories.

The same would go for all the other countries... the stupid long date showing is for 80% of applications which would include all the applications done in less time.

Uch... this is the SECOND time Pretoria's numbers have increased since we applied!! In July it went up from 13 to 15 months for 90% now it's 17 months for 80%!!

Hate the new format... takes away all the hope of the 30% and 50% categories :(

So, maybe a stupid question but after which stage can you expect to get your approval in principle?

Is there anything we can do about all these crap? Or we just take what ever the govt. throws at us??
