Like many of you under the Quebec immigration scheme, I've become very disheartened by the radio silence. Those purely under the Federal Government for Family Sponsorship who applied at the same time as me are either PR already or getting their landing interviews.
Me and other Quebecers under the same scheme, stuck after CSQ for months! My timeline is nowhere near as bad as some of you here, but I am seeking seeking a light at the end of the tunnel. My BGC is well over 2 months now as well, with no sign of it completing any time soon.
So my question; does everything start moving once your BGC passes? Or can the medical and / or the biometrics happen whilst the BGC is going on? Everything is stuck and has been since early June.
I'm also panicking a bit because my work permit will expire at the same time as my passport (31st March 2020) and I really don't wanna have to fork out for a Open Work Permit extension and a new passport when I could get my PR sorted 1st, then worry about the passport renewal at a later date.
Supposedly, according to the timeline I should be PR on 3rd April 2020, but I don't trust the estimated timeline as I'm under Quebec as well as the Federal government.
I shouldn't be a complicated case; I'm a British National living in Canada with a female Canadian Citizen, no kids and I have no criminal record.
