Just want to share my timeline with you

TRV application received at Ottawa on August 17th
Visa stamped on September 6th
Passport received on September 12th

I am so worried I emailed CPP also but no reply from them ........I don't know what should I do I have a ticket booked next Sunday I hope my passport will come soon too .........Anybody else Whose application was received on 20th august or after and got passport back?

Hi everyone. CCP-O received my application on Aug 21st and today, Sept 13th, I got my passport back with visa stamped on Sep 9th. Good luck to everyone!

My application was received by CPP-O on August 10, I am tracking my return envelope and it has not left their office. Anyone else around that date that has not received their passport back. Also is it normal that some application take more time to process, as i see some of you have received your passport back which were sent after my date.

Passport received on August 16th, 2012 by Ottawa office. I received it in the mail today, September 13, 2012. Visa stamped as September 10, 2012...so it took less than a month to be processed and returned.

I got my passport back today ......
application received 20th august
visa stamped 12th September
passport received 13th September

so its taking less than a month these days.........Good luck everyone else!!!!

Two express mail enveloped. One to send the passport and the other to receive the passport

Hi,

I would be applying to Ottawa (CPP-O) for Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). Am currently on extended Work Permit and require TRV so that I can return to Canada after visiting my home country. I have below queries about some details in application form and appreciate if anyone can provide the inputs.

1. IMM 5257 - Under Details of Visit to Canada section, what should I select in Purpose of Visit (Business / Tourism / Other). Currently I have selected Other option and in Other column have written "Work". Similarly for my dependants (wife & daughter) I have selected Tourism. Is it OK?

2. IMM 5257 Employment: Since am having more than 12 yrs work experience, should I take the print out of page 3 (IMM 5257) to complete the previous working experience (prev. 10 yrs exp). Also my wife is not working since we landed in Canada for last 2 yrs. Should this period also be mentioned in her application form.She is currently on spousal work permit.

3. Having gone through the timelines of applicants who have received their TRV on their passports, it comes around 3-4 weeks. However, the CIC website mentions you should not provide application minimum 2 months before travelling outside Canada to avoid disappointment. Whats the current trend.

Sent TRV Application on Aug25, received on 27 Aug and Got back my passport stamped with visa on Sept 18. Applied for Worker's Visa.

GOT MULTIPLE VISA ON = SEPTEMBER 14/2012
PASSPORT RECEIVED 0N = SEPTEMBER 18/2012

Hi everyone,
I have applied to renew my TRV. I am an international student here in Canada.
How long does it approximately take.
My passport was received on the 4th of September. I am booked my ticket and ill be leaving on the 19th of October.
Can anyone help

Does the CPP-O sends an confirmation email when it receives the TRV application and whether it intimates that it has sent back the passports with the visa?

hi guys, if anyone had the same case or knows what to do please help. here is my case,
so i applied for a re-entry visa last aug10,2012 and i tracked the packge it was received by cpp-o aug15. then after a month they emailed me asking for my passport whrein i already included it with the packge. i fax them and said that, then after a week i received a reply from them stating this:

Dear Client,

Please note that our office received your passport damaged. The cover page is separated/removed from the main book.

You may provide a new passport to our office in order to continue the processing of your application.

then i send them a fax asking to return my passport. no reply from them yet. i mean how can my passport be broken if they received my papers completely fine. and its not my fault if it was broken in their possession (if it really was or they just misplaced it). now i have to go to BC to get a new one and that will cost a lot bec im from alberta. and i am sched to go for vacation this dec,already had my ticket. :'( please help anyone.
