Re: Request for passport

Hi All,

I have question regarding processing time for permanent residence.

My husband submitted already the documents to CIC and received on July 15, 2013, also the medical results have been received. I was check the status of our application on your website and says "started processing your application on December 17, 2013." On January 13, 2014 we have received email that we have to pay RPRF for the Permanent Residence visa and paid online on January 19, 2014.

May I know the status of our application?

Thank you and regards

Now its just a matter of few days/weeks that you will get passport request.

Hello Seniors,

I have a very urgent question....seeking your help on this..!!!!
I am landing in 3rd week of August in Toronto. Will be staying there for around 3 weeks and then I have to go to Norway for my job. I know that its not advisable to travel without getting your PR card and the process that I have to go to a Canadian Embassy in Norway as I wont have a PR card to get a travel document from them...
The big question is :

Can I come back to Canada on a Business/Visitor's visa which I have and is valid for next 8 years.

Please help me as i can see that even I try to get my PR card processing done urgently, I might not get it in time before leaving for Norway...!!!

Awaiting your response!!!

Regards
Kunal

My wife had a Visitor visa valid for another 7 years, but they put a sticker (hard to notice) on the visa foil when we got her passport back with the immigrant visa and CoPR. I think any temporary visa gets voided once you get the immigrant visa, so I'm afraid you won't be able to use you visitor visa anymore..
