Processing time for student visa? New York

Can you please share timeline for student visa?

I applied for student visa on July 11th and I have not heard anything back yet.
Orientation starts September 2nd. I really hope to hear from them ASAP!

Anyone else in same situation? Please share your status/update..

Student visa and work permit applications have same processing time 30-40 days but based on the embassy's website it says 2 months.

Hope you'll receive your passport soon

Student visa and work permit applications have same processing time 30-40 days but based on the embassy's website it says 2 months.

Hope you'll receive your passport soon

For TWP applicants the link is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/workers.asp

However when you check the website of CHC-NYC you'll find it minimum 30 days here's the link: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/new_york/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?lang=eng&view=d

Did you send an email to the embassy? I received an email yesterday they were asking for US/CDN mailing address to send my passport back since I live in Turks Islands. Hopefully I'll get it soon. My husband and I applied for TWP received our applications by mail on July 13. I never email the embassy though

Did you send an email to the embassy? I received an email yesterday they were asking for US/CDN mailing address to send my passport back since I live in Turks Islands. Hopefully I'll get it soon. Nope. They only asked for my US/CDN mailing address. Do you think it's not finalized yet? However at the end of their message they write this: "Your reply is important. Always refer to the above file number when you send a correspondence to our office" so I guess they need my reply soon to send back my passport asap.

I honestly dont know about their procedure. I dont know whether student permit and work permit are in the same queue or not.

They really make me mad.

I sent them many emails and just know they are reviewing my application, but they didnt say anything about the process time.

What email address did you use if you don't mind?

You can send an inquiry thru this https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new york write a concise message too about your situation.

This is making me nervous!! I am really hope I can get my visa by this week or next week. I don't have 8 weeks of time..

Did you enclose a return USPS envelope together with your applications? Coz I sent mine thru Fedex too & I enclosed Fedex return airway bill money order but their not gonna use it instead they'll use USPS regular mail

I am glad at least they are keeping you posted. But 5-10 more days!! That's crazy.. Nothing on my side yet. I m just going to wait today.. If I don't hear from them I am sending them case inquiry!
