Dear All,

I am PR of Canada at the middle of applying the sponsorship for my wife who is working in another country than her country of origin. According to the CIC website the expected processing time in the country she is living is much longer than that country of her origin. We also understand that she need to apply for upfront medical examination before we submit the documents. Now we are wondering which address will be used by CIC as reference to send the documents for process. Whether it will be residential address, posting address, or the country that medical examination is done there?

I appreciate for you clarification in this regard,

Thanks and Regards,
Mehdi

Hello!

Is your wife a citizen of her country of origin OR a citizen of her country of residence?

she is the citizen of the country of her origin. She is working under a valid visa in the country of residence.

CIC will decide where to send the application. They generally send it to the office responsible for the person's country of citizenship, though they may send it to the office of the country of residence. Where you get the medicals done has no impact on the processing.
