Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

This is what I received from my MP.

• The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the sponsored person (the applicant) meets the eligibility requirements.
  • the assessment for the applicant is still in process at the Canadian visa office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
• The medical examination results have expired. The officer will contact your constituent`s spouse with further instructions.
• The criminality verifications have not been initiated.
• The security verifications have not been initiated.
• As of today, there are no outstanding documents.

Hi everyone, does anyone know if there is any specific order by which the visa officers do the various checks for our files? Like the background check, security check, criminality, eligibility, etc. Which comes first and what is the order they follow? Or are all of the checks done at the same time?

hi im krishan if anyone can help me out ,i have submitted police report and requested forums to embassy on 27/12/2017 ,so how long it takes to get passport request email from them
my time line was

2013 visa applied
2013 December got refused
2014 January appealed
2017 February hearing got accepted
2017 March send file to colombo
2017 November got request update forum and medical and photos
2017 November information submitted to embassy
2017 December got request to police report
2017 December 27th submitted to embassy
2018 waiting for passport request
2018 waiting for visa

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. Can any 2017 applicant tell me the rough timeline after receiving medical requests? My husband (PA) received his on the 19th of Jan. Our application was received on August 21st 2017. Thanks for any input.
