Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

unfortunately CIC send emails to the lawyer not to us.

I asked my lawyer, he said normally they will send it to us, plus he said they they probly send the file already to Sri Lanka so he said wait until July 30. My question is, is there anyways we can email cic and ask them.about the file

ok. In my case, I also applied through a immigration lawyer. Me and my husband signed "use of a representative forms" so CIC will contact with my lawyer. We applied after two weeks we received an acknowledgement email . Then after two days i got a file transfer email.

i think at least you need a File number or UCI number to contact with CIC.

what happening about colombo visa applicant any improvement or any correspondence from colombo visa office
ankara , Delhi and Ottawa visa office is start ppr for march applicant.
but colombo visa office ? we are still waiting for medical request.

I did this I got reply from Colombo vo

For information on global processing times, please visit our website athttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp. That site is updated regularly because while processing times for cases completed in the past are a guide to how long it may take to process cases in the future, they are not a guarantee.


Resources used to respond to status update enquiries take away time that could be better used to process applications. Please refrain from sending correspondence unless there is information on your spouse’s file that needs to be updated or if the processing time shown on the web site has been exceeded. Unless that time has been exceeded, we will not respond to future requests for the case status.
