Hey guys,

@Leo I've seen two different MPs about this. The one I have been contact with now, I have been going to her office since January of this year. She gets me updates on the file but not much else. I have not sought our a legal rep, I've been told that it's a waste of money :S

@Praba They requested a police clearance for the last 2 years (since our application was submitted). My husband submitted that at the VO a month ago and we haven't heard anything from them since.

@Lav_Canadian. I've started to hate the word queue. It takes them forever to get anything done. Maybe they just don't have enough officers to handle the number of applications they get. And yes my husband has lived in 2 other countries, not Canada, we submitted the police clearances like they asked and he's never been deported or anything. He has not been asked for interview yet.. mp said it is unlikely but can't be too sure right.

Oh man... my husband has lived in two different countries as well. He lived in India most of his life and studied in UK and now living in Sri Lanka. Hopefully we don't have to wait until 80 to get the visa.

This is pretty lame/sad but I don't usually believe in horoscopes/saathiram but I started going to random people and asking when my husband will come LOL..sad life I know.. so according to one of them my husband should be here in the 10 months (of course, after some struggles, have no idea what they mean by that). Before I used to think 10 months is too long but now I am like omg I hope he comes here within 10months instead of 2-3 yrs.

MP telling me same thing as website/notes, in-progress. Don't know how long more we need to wait.

I know Praba. This is very frustrating... we see people who get the visa as little as 4 months and then we have people who have been waiting forever and STILL waiting.

Omg again they increase processing time for srilanka 16 month and india before 19 now 18

Oh god.. I don't know what to say anymore. Why don't they just leave the processing time to 17 months or 24 months instead of messing up with our minds.

Hey guys just have a question if anyone knows the answer to... my cic link app says not needed at this time under interview and my background check is in process... so my question is would there be a chance of interview for my husband.. like do they decide for interview before doing the background check or even after doing background check they still can call for an interview. Even though he did not travel anywhr out of srilanka and we showed a lot of proof for our relationship.. I am just worried they might use a stupid reason to call for interview.. and coming nov its going to be 1 yr since this whole process....

Hey Rainbow,
I know for sure that my husband is in queue for an interview but this is what it states under CIC link app:
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time

So... I am not sure how accurate the info on their site is.

Hi luci1209..Can you please elaborate on your additional information, which was requested by the visa office. I just wanted to know if you're referring to the " additional information " on your sponsor application forms or if they're are requesting other additional informations that wasn't mentioned on the application. Please and thank you.
