There are too many things against you:Nick2040 said:Hi there,
Could you kindly advise me on this matter, I am Sinhalese and my fiancee is tamil-Canadian citizen, we are planning to marry soon. But we cant get a wedding in Sri Lanka since my Parents are against for our marriage. And her parents are very old and very sick at this moment , so they cant travel to sri lanka. She asks me to come to Canada as a Visitor visa holder and marry her in Canada. I dont know what to do. We have never seen each other and we have been talking since October 2015.
Thank you
1 - never met each other
2 - Parents do not approve
3 - different religions
4 - different languages
What she is suggesting isn't an easy task. How will you get travel visa? it isn't easy unless you are made of money. Sadly this is the truth. Because on what grounds are you applying travel visa? to get married in Canada, you have to be in canada for a certain number of days to get a marriage license (depends on the province).
It is best if she travels to you in Sri Lanka for a visit and first meet you in person, spend some time together and get married at a later date.
Just my 2cents.
