Received AOR with Receipt in June 2015
Received Intent to Reject in January 2016 (they are requesting me to submit the IELTS and TEFAQ Exams within 60 days)

Hi, we applied August 2013 and got our visa by August 2014. We are now in Canada. The process was really fast for us, I hope it will be for you too. Just make sure all requirements are complete and proves that you are eligible for self employed.

Hi! Congrats! can you let me know what exactly are these must have in our documents? everyone is saying something and I'm not sure! How much money do they need? For my work experience, I only have my contracts and some confirmation letters. what else do they need? I'm a freelance graphic designer and I worked for around 8 years. what documents should I submit to support my claims???

Thank you. I actually had a consultant to help me with everything. I don't exactly remember all the requirements. All I remember is aside from the forms, personal docs like passports and birth certificates. I was also asked to prepare all documents to prove my eligibility so I just gather everything I have. I am not a freelance though, so I have all employment certificates plus my portfolio, so I am not sure with contracts in your case. For the money, I don't know how much is it already now but last time we paid around 2k dollars for application, 20k dollars for funds in the bank and a landing fee of around 1500 dollars.

We are actually a family of 3 and its going to be my husband whose going to apply under the self-employed category application and he has been working on his own wayback 2007 and we only found this now re self-employed application. Again, Congratulations to you! If you do not mind, where are you now based exactly in Canada? Where do u think is the best place for self-employed person to migrate in Canada, any suggestion? And, what's the name of the office who helped you with the application?

Hi, yes I applied from PH. My consultant is OSIAS, maybe you can google them. We live in the Greater Toronto Area, I am not sure where in Canada is the best place for self-employed. But to be honest, it is not advisable to start here as a freelance. In where we are connections are very important so being employed at first would definitely be better.

Anyone can see it here:

and choose "Economic class", then "Self-employed persons (federal)"

Surely it is wrong. Does someone knows what is the real processing time in this case?

9 years, ha comon, dis too much, dis serious, will advice you, go for other programs, there are 1, 2 and 3 years programs

By God's grace we got CSQ
I applied as self employed in May 2015 got file number plus receipt June 8th 2015 / received intent to reject letter January 26th 2016, sent the requested documents they received them on May 17th 2016 / CSQ issued June 6th 2016 received it today. Total 1 year - 2 days.
