A few months ago I remember it being 6 months total now it's 9 months??? Is it always 9 months? I know one couple on here had it done last year within 5 months and 1 week!

Is this information correct?

Time gets updated every 4 months to reflect the changes in the the processing times. So maybe when you checked 6 months ago it was 6 months, now it's 9. Nothing to do about it. Some people get done quicker though ( same for London : it says 9 months now I think, before was 7, but quite a few people get done in 3 or 4 months + sponsorship time).

Nobody can tell you in advance how long it will take. If you have a straightforward case, and your application is well prepared, you will be probably done before the time stated on the website, as it's an average for processing 80% of applications.
Good luck,
Sweden

That's terrible how come? That's a lot of stress and you only live once! I am going to stay positive on this one!

Very nice yeah 9 months seems a lot, I remember 5 or 7 years ago it was at 5 months, then I seen 6 months now 9 months. I guess if you do it right and everything in order it will be less time and send in everything required also!

Thank you Sweden!

From Paris visa office, latest stats based on 1 year of "family-partner/spouse" applications (up to Oct 1, 2012) shows 20% of cases were done within 4 months or less. The average is 6 months... and around 20% of cases take 8 months or longer.
Paris approval rate for partner/spouse is 95%.

Where do you get these stats from? So they didn't approve 95%? Out of how many? Nice to know.

4 months or less! WOW NICE!

check my profile, we dealt with Paris.

Pretty quick for us.

Stats are here: http://www.data.gc.ca/default.asp?lang=En&n=5175A6F0-1&xsl=datacataloguerecord&metaxsl=datacataloguerecord&formid=427337D0-7C36-4FED-8428-C6A63F8C19B3

Based on last 1 year stats, Paris visa office processed 1,689 spouse/partner applications, and only refused 97 of them. So approval rate is 95% passed.

Remember only 20% of applications got 4 months or less. These are probably the no-red-flags super strong applications.

Very nice still 9 months. IT's fine, it's all doable!
