As far as I know, Once your company have submitted you application, they should have receive biometrics letter. Using that you can make an appointment. I have a friend in India who is in same situation. He is waiting for Bio-metrics to open for all (Currently it is open only for student and family dependent).
Oh got it. Thanks for the info. I will call my employer and inform them to provide the biometric letter. I was in the impression that I have to schedule the appoitment myself.
Also, do you know if you friend received the biometric letter? If so, when did he applied his visa? If you can help with the timelines, that would be super useful.
Also as for the biometric, your friend can visit Dubai for biometric right? or even in Dubai its just student and family dependent?
My friend filed for ICT Work Permit on 17th Nov 2020 and he received the bio-metrics letter in a day or two from his employer. However, he is still waiting for Biometrics to be open for all. And Yes as others mentioned in this thread, you will need IRCC number to schedule the appointment and same will be on Bio-metrics letter.

My husband's work permit approval and PPR came on the 20th of November for the USA. We already moved to India on 21st October due to the expiration of L1B. The attorney has already sent the webform when we move to India.No reply from IRCC.Any suggestions?
My husband's application Timeline was
Applied on 9th July 2020 from the USA
Biometrics on 29th July 2020
Approval and Passport request on 20th November 2020
and we came to know on 4th January 2021 by the HR who is taking care. .We are not in direct contact with the Attorney.

You can request the 2-way courier pickup for passport submission by email to IRCC Passport Submission <PassportSubmission@vfshelpline.com>. Attach the PPR letter in the email.
There was another person in the same situation, submitted his passport before getting any response for the webform request for change of location, and got it stamped without any delays/issues.
The letter does not mention anything about the location , it was filed by my company and they send me letter.
As mentioned by @bismi , you can go ahead and send email to PassportSubmission@vfshelpline.com to get 2 way courier payment link.
Updating location has nothing to do with the stamping process, my company said location update it not needed.
My employer informed that July and August folks are getting approved now. Long wait I guess
