Processing time for ICT work permit

I applied on 18th April and they asked me for the passport on 1st May as there was delay in medical. Hoping to get stamped passport back soon

Thanks 123rituraja. What kind of delay was it - did you not submit the medical upfront? Have you received your stamped passport? How much time it took.

I have only stayed in India for 2 months in the preceding year so didn't do the medicals after confirming with attorneys, but they did mention that officer may ask for medicals during application processing.

I am an employee of one Indian IT company and our branch will be open soon in PEI, Canda, am I eligible to apply under this category if my company is not yet open? my employer is ready to provide all kind of documentation support. Kindly help me to understand it. Do we have other partner companies in Canada who wants me to come over there? Can we use our partnership contract for ICT purpose?

I am not sure but think your company will need to be open in Canada before you can apply under Intra Company Transfer (ICT). Information at the below link should answer most of your queries. Best of luck!

Actually I was also in impression that company should be physically open there before we apply, but for case like me there is one more category called intra company transfer startup in which we can apply even company has not started. See the link

I have got request for passport on 17th Apr 2018.
Processing time : 6 working days

Submitted passport to VFS-CVAC .

Finally after a long delay, my application was filed yesterday May 3. Will keep the group posted once I hear on the decision. Been told that it should come in the next 2 weeks.

Here's the final timeline. My application was processed within 2 weeks under Global Skills Strategy (GSS). Hopefully this helps someone.

May 03, 2018 - Application filed online by attorneys
May 15, 2018 - Attorneys received request to submit passport
May 17, 2018 - Attorneys notified me to submit passport
May 23, 2018 - Passport submitted at embassy
May 28, 2018 - Stamped passport ready for collection

I do not think NOC matters. to my experience nationality matters the most. i am sure i am eligible for 2 weeks peocessing and now it is more than 1 month i am waiting and yet nothing. i have a good background and travel history and 10 years living in europe.but none of these had good impant on processing....

Hello there,

I'm also eligible for a two-week processing time but I have to give my biometrics first. Do you think this new processing time is applied everywhere? My biometrics are scheduled for Aug 1, 2018 and I really hope I'll get my visa by Aug 15.
