Processing time for canadian sponsoring spouse in sri lanka

hi

I just sent in my applications spouse sponsorship (July/19/ 2010) out-bound. I was wondering if someone would know how long the processing would take. I read somewhere it said 42 days that meant inbound i think. i cant seem to find information about that anywhere maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

It takes 42 days approximately to approve you as the sponsor. Then the application goes to Colombo, average 9 months, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp#asia

has there been a chance where the processing time had been quicker. :

I am sure some are faster and some are slower. According to the link, 30% of cases are done at 7 months and 80% are done by 17 so hope you are in the fastest 30% rather than the slowest 20%
