Processing time between medical and passport request

Does anyone know what the typical processing time is for India after the medicals are done until the passport is requested?

That sounds like an inordinate amount of time considering this is an application for a Student Visa. I was thinking it'd be somewhere between a few days to a week.

There is no particular time limit as i have seen various answers here between 2 days to weeks also. Depends on case to case. We can only wait.
