Processing time Bangalore - 2 weeks and still waiting

Hello everyone,

We had applied for my wife's visit visa on the 12th of March and are still waiting to hear back; the processing time listed on the site it 8-10 days and are wondering if anyone else has been or is waiting to hear back.

Any help is appreciated.

Timelines are only indicative.... actual processing times differ

Someone on this forum - from Mumbai - got a passport request in 2 days yesterday.... and yet others had to wait for 2-3 business weeks recently.... these were Bangalore VO cases

Hi, we applied for visitor visa for my wife on March 17th and are still waiting for it. The tracking on the VFS website says that the applicaiton is being processed in Bangalore, thats all. We hope to get it soon because she is planning to fly on April 10th!!

Hey guys,

We had applied through VFS so paper based and it shows the same "The application is being processed in Bangalore"

From what I am reading the processing time is really varied for some reason, people are getting replies in 8-10 days and some 2-3 weeks.

Since we had applied for PR we know the rejection rate is higher but thought we would give it a shot... I am not sure its taking this long since its rejected or otherwise...

we didn't book the tickets but mentioned she would like to come for a month from March 25th to April 24th, but booked and showed what they call fake ticket or itinerary.

We are planning to book only after getting a response

We booked the tickets with an arrangement to change it if need be. I really hope we get the passport back next week - we applied directly through VFS.

Let us know once you get it. You are around 3 days ahead of us.

Any chances of getting passports back next week are until Wednesday..... and then from the following Monday, April 6.... too many holidays in India.... so either VFS/visa office/courier may be closed

Saturday, March 28 (Ram Navmi)..... weekend.... Thursday, April 2, Mahavir Jayanti..... Good Friday.... weekend

People working in banks are luckier.... nearly the whole week off.... March 31 year-ending and April 1 (no, not closed for All Fools Day) start of the new financial year LOL

Still waiting fornaxe.. She called today and all they say is its still being processed.
We have submitted a case specific enquiry but it looks like it could take 28 days for them to reply back which is useless...

Finally... it says passport has been dispatched fingers crossed
She should get it tomorrow or day after..

it says "Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 31/03/2015 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website."

I think if its a positive decision it would say your visa application has been processed and the passport has been dispatched as I have see from other people

There's no way of knowing based on the email.... you'll have to wait until she gets the passport.

Bryanna, is it a bad thing if the application goes past 10 days - espcially for TRV? My wife called the VFS office and they mentioned to do an inquiry if it goes past 10 days.

It shouldnt take them a long time if its a positive decision should it? We submitted a lot of documents...
