Processing time after submission of documents

Had applied for PR for federal skilled program through express entry and got an invitation in November 2016. I submitted all my documents on 5 January 2017, hoping to receive a reply by 5 July 2017, but it has been 20 days after the estimated 6 month processing time, and yet no communication from IRCC. Anyone in a similar boat?

What is your online status says?
Your background status?
Have you ordered GCMS notes? Coz that will help to find out what's really going on.

GCMS notes- Yes ordered just 5 days back
Background status says- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Is it normal? 7 months after submission and still not communication.

What I understand on this forum is that you're still on IP1.. as your background hasn't been started yet.
Try send email to cic and find out where your file is? Maybe that will help and someone look at your file.
You applied yourself or through consultant?
If I may ask which country you from?

Thank you for your input. I applied myself, from Dubai. Indian Passport.
I will message CIC, is that web form the only way to communicate to them?
