Hi, I'm currently applying for PR under the the Provincial Nomination Program from within Canada. My application for PNP has been approved and submitted my application for permanent residency late last year. I completed my medical on April 5th this year. Does anyone know how long it roughly takes to complete an application from this point on?

I've looked at the processing times and it says 16 months but I'm unsure if this means from the point of initially receiving my PR application or from the point of me completing my medical.

Also once PR is granted is it still tied to your current employer, or does the PR permit allow you to work for any employer?

Any help is greatly appreciated. :) Thanks

I have checked the forums and people say their status changes to Medical received. I've tried to check the status of my application online but it can't find me when I use my UCI/Application Number. Any ideas? will I receive an email from CIC?

Based on the current trend, you can expect to get your PR in about an year from the time you submitted your application. However, processing time may vary based on your current status
(No one can estimate the actual processing time for each individual since it is case dependent)
Once you get your PR, you can work for any employer.
For ECAS, you should be able to check your status at this point. You better contact to CIC to inform your current problem.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I checked and still doesn't work online with the Client ID or Application number. I gave CIC a call and they said they can no longer tell you over the phone and emailed me a form to submit. I sent the form through and they said it would take 10 days. I did however receive an email on May 22nd to say it was in the queue to be reviewed. Does this mean it is going to be processed soon/my application completed. They said it was a complete application but I havent yet received an AOR for my medical results. I am just a little concerned.

6 months after medicals is a good rule of thumb
