Processing in Buenos Aires?

I did my research and I was in this Forum almost 24/7 before our sponsorship was approved. There are other forums out there and I found one who had processed via BA and it took him 6 months (2009).

The thing is every case is absolutely different. Although the website says they can take up to 12 months there have been cases where they take 6 to 8 months. Desperatewaiting took a very very long time. When I went to the BA Canadian Embassy they said that they can even take up to 3 months and they also said they had cases pending since 2008.

Just hang in there guys. The first part of this (CIC approval) is absolutely nerve-wracking but once you get the sponsorship approval you relax again then 3 months go by and you get anxious and the whole process starts over again. Thats where I am at now. YOu just have to believe and be patient.

Thank you! i was looking for other people cause there is not much people going through BUE and i was hoping that someone say that its possible that it be under 6 months.. haha.. they seem to be kinda slow.. oh well.. im just gonna sit here and keep waiting for everything to be over! If you have not done it yet I suggest you reply to the monthly threads in this forum. Some of them (like the one I am in) are organized and make spreadsheets of the whole month's process. This is helpful becuause you can actually see when others starting getting CIC answers for sponsorship. Furthermore, the support you get is great.

Any news from anyone processing in Buenos Aires?
How long have has it been since they received your file to date?

My file hasn't even been transfered their yet, but already anxious for time to pass quickly. And hoping that it doesn't take the 12 months that are posted on the CIC site.

If you have already applied and been approved, or are in process how long has it been?

Does anybody know if there is a spreadsheet about Buenos Aires? Ive seen many for different VO but none for us. I would like to see people from the past years how long it took..

I've seen some of the other ones from London and its nice to be able to see a timeline and dates, to give some of the rest of us hope. hahhaha

Our application for sponsorship was approved on May 5th, about a month after we sent it to mississauga.
It says it's in its way to Buenos Aires.. Not sure how long that's going to take.

I got THE email today! sponsorship approved!! I was so scared that i forgot something!! It feels so good to know its moving! Ill go tomorrow to the office in Mtl to bring the papers! I LOVE those days! AHAHa

Looks like you are one of the last April people, so hopefully they will move on to us pretty soon.
So since you are applying through Quebec, how is your process different???
You send stuff out to MICC and then they do make a decision on sponsorship and nothing goes to Buenos Aires Office??
