Thanks.. I did my degree from SLIET longowal, but degree was awarded by PTU. Shall I ask PTU or Longowal to fill the PDF and send the sealed envelope?

Step 1: take ur marksheets and 10th certificate to your college and get a no objection certificate from them.
Step 2: take photocopy of ur marksheets and no objection certificate to PTU jalandhar.
Step 3: pay the fees and ask them courier transcripts to your address. It will take 10 days to receive transcripts.
Step 4: once you receive transcripts, make your account on www.wes.org
Step 5: pay the wes fees
Step 6: courier your documents to wes.
Step 7: once evaluation is done, they will send you ECA report.

Yes, the process is very easy once you are in PTU. But take all the required documents with you.

Could you please provide more details on where to go in PTU and what all to carry? Do we just get the Photo copies of Mark sheets attested ? Do they also provide Sealed envelope? And for WES...we just need to send degree certificate and mark sheets OR the 10th / 12th Certificates also? If 12th Certificate also then do we need to attest that also?

I done b.tech from a college under PTU

1. Make profile on www.wes.org website and pay $200+ fee (this will give you your 7 digit reference no.).

2. I Sent Recently Attested (by Notary) photocopy of provincial/degree certificate directly to WES Toronto office

3. Send some one to Your college (not the PTU office in jalandhar) and get your 'Academic records Request form' Stamped.

4. Send Someone to PTU Jalandhar Registrar office with --
Academic records request form +
photocopies of all marksheets +
photocopy of provincial/degree certificate +
a letter from you to authorize that person to deal on your behalf your parents dont need this letter(they did asked for it in my case. so i askedmy mother to sign a letter and give it to my friend whom i send to PTU ).

PTU charged me 500 rs. for attesting and 200 rs. to send the documents directly to the Toronto WES office.


Timeline

17 Feb 2015 -Profile made and fee paid to WES.org

03 Mar 2015 -Fee Paid to PTU jalandhar to send docs to WES directly.

06 Apr 2015 -WES recieved documents.

07 may 2015 is the Due date given by WES for the evaluation completion

Thanks for the pointers..you mentioned that you sent Notarized sheets...are these really required as we are anyways getting the attestation done from university?

Also....I called the PTU Help Center...They asked me to come directly...Do I really need to visit my college first and take a stamp ?

Hi Pawandeep,

I have done BCA and MCA from PTU. I need to get my mark sheets and certificates attested, but I can't visit the university by myself. As you mentioned, they need a "letter from you to authorize that person to deal on your behalf". Is there any specific performa for this letter or a simple application from my side will work?

Thanks for sharing the knowledge with us. i am having one doubt that where the college will put the stamp on academic request form as there is no specific area mentioned for it.

Thanks for providing this much information so far.

I am about to register my self on WES Canada website to initiate the ECA process.

I have passed my B.tech in 2012 and that time the university was known as "Punjab Technical University" and now it is know as "I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University"
However at WES website, I can see both "Punjab Technical University" and "I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University".

Can some help for choosing the correct name of University?
