Procedure for obtaining transcripts from annauniversity for wes evaluationcanada

Hi,

I know I would be way beyond most of you in this area. I am aspiring to apply for job in Canada. A 2004 B.E pass out in computer science.
I want to apply for ECA via WES. When I went through the website it states,

1. Final or Provisional Degree Certificate Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Doctorate
AND
2. Annual Statement of Marks / Academic Transcript

An official document issued by the institution responsible for conducting the examinations (e.g. university, constituent or autonomous college). It lists all subjects/papers taken and marks earned for each year of study.
-OR-
If the document is given to you to forward to WES, it must be attested & dated and placed in an official sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate authentication officer at the university or autonomous college that conducted the examination. If the envelope has been opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, the document will not be accepted by WES.

Since it states, annual statement of Marks or Academic Transcript, i think either one should suffice. And fortunately, I belong to the last of the Madras University batch and I got individual mark sheets for each semester.

Please somebody through light on my understanding about Transcript not required for applying WES for job purpose.

Thanks a lot Tonyantony85 and chennai22canada for this useful information. I have few queries.Your inputs would be of great help.
I did my masters in annauniversity. Is the procedure same for masters also? Do I have to get 'non-issuance of semester wise mark sheets' letter?
Do I have to send the attested copies of my mark sheets also to WES for evaluation or only Transcript, WES form attested, Letter(in-case if it is needed) is enough.

Sorry for this silly question. IS transcript mandatory for applying job. My conception was that transcripts are generally required applying higher education in abroad.

I am aspiring for a job in Canada with B.E in Comp.Sc background.

I am planning to apply for express entry and it is nice to see a lot of information being shared here. Can anyone let me know if the transcripts from anna university can be requested online or by post. See the problem is i am working is Saudi and it would be great if I can avoid a trip all the way back to Chennai just for this.
Has anyone applied from outside of India?
Any info will be helpful.

I have some doubts about applying for Transcript in Anna university.I'm graduated from a college affiliated to Anna university Coimbatore in 2011.But in September 2011 this university is merged to Anna university Chennai,So now their is no such university called Anna university Coimbatore. What should i do to get my Transcript?Can i apply for it in Anna university Chennai COE office?Do they give any letter mentioning that Anna university Chennai and Anna university Coimbatore is Same.? Please reply guys!!

You DO NOT need to get your 10th and 12th marksheets evaluated for Express Entry. The transcripts of your B.Tech degree will suffice.

I have created the WES profile with my 10th and 12th Std education details. If i dont want to get my 10th and 12th std evaluated, should i inform WES to update my profile ?

In WES, I should mention Anna university Chennai or Thirunalveli? I saw your prev post which says we should apply only to Chennai. In my degree certificate it is mentioned as Anna University Thirunalveli. What they will mention in my transcript for WES? I'm bit confused here. Can you please help me out here.

As per my understanding, the branches of Anna university that were created for ease of management are now obsolete. Half my certificates were issued by Anna University, Coimbatore and the rest by Anna University, Chennai! I applied for transcripts to Anna University, Chennai and they've received my application. I'm pretty sure you have to get them from Anna University, Chennai. If you want to be sure, call up Anna University or check their website.

You do not need ECA for your pre-secondary education. Tell WES that you do not need ECA for that. ECA should be done only for post secondary education. (Bachelors/ Masters)

No you cannot apply for transcripts online or by post. If you cannot go there in person, just send a friend with all required docs ( mentioned in my previous post) and give your friend an authorization letter. He/she can get the transcripts on your behalf.

Thanks for the reply Raj...Just wish this was easier, like having an agent to get this done. Will have to figure out a way to send someone to the univ now. Or maybe I'll make the trip myself and can enjoy a mini vacation.
Any idea how many day the university takes to send the sealed envelope once we put in the request?

Also one more thing. I was talking to a few immigration consultants and they were say WES requires copies of certificates starting from 10th class. I dont think that is necessary if we are submitting engineering and MBA degrees. Please advice.

You are welcome.

The university will not send the transcripts to WES. It will give you the transcripts in an envelope and you have to send it to WES along with the other documents.

ECA is a pretty simple process, you can do it yourself. No, WES does not require your 10th or 12th mark sheets if your want an ECA for your bachelors/masters degree. You must send the transcripts that the university gives you along with other documents like a copy of your degree certificate etc.

Please check out the below link . Choose country as "India" and you will find the list of all documents that you have to send to WES.

No, the university will NOT send the documents through post. You will have to go to the university after a week.

I'm not very sure what a "set" is in this context means but Anna University, Chennai does not issue transcripts for semester-wise mark sheets which means you'll get the transcript of your consolidated mark sheet.
