Hello everyone,

I am planning to apply for Canadian PR but need my wife's ECA score to qualify. I think I get 10 or 20 additional points for her Masters degree. I am the principal applicant.

My question is that my wife's name in her School and College degrees is mis spelled as Sharoon (with two Os). Her real name on her passport and marriage certificate and SSN and DL etc. is Sharon (with one O). Do you think this is a deal breaker and a big problem if we apply for the Canadian PR?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Pankaj

She needs to get it corrected with the one that matches in passport.

A notorised Affidavit is required.

Thank you very much for your response. Would this be from a notary in India (which is where we're originally from) or a notary in US (which is our current country of residence).

hi I have a similar query..

I recently got ITA and collecting required docs.

my 12th mark sheet has an error in my first name a particular letter has been misspelled.

Will uploading the affidavit copy along with mark-sheet do?

also while filling the forms there's a question were known by other names, I've replied NO here.. my attached affidavit states both first names with error in marksheet and actual are one person.

Hi, we had a similar issue with my spouse too. He had a sworn affidavit when the error happened and we included that. If I were in your shoes, i would do it where I am, I don't think it matters where, as long as the message is clear and details out both names. Just my thoughts......
