Hi guys, how is it going?

I am a hockey player staying in Canada to play hockey and now I have to extend my stay to finish the season. I am from Switzerland and I don't need any visa for a stay less than 6 months.

So back to my problem:
As I have logged-in in my gckey accound and started the application I always get redirected to the eta application site eventough I already made a new eta which got approved a couple aldays ago. Who do you guys start the visa application going around the eta thing?

Thanks in advance!

Paste the first page of questions and answers from the wizard. If answered correctly the option to extend stay should become available.

Since OP is an athlete, shouldn't this be an OWP? At least that's what I got from the wizard, I got a question that asked if I was an athlete, after selecting Work for the purpose of visit.

If he is getting paid to do so, then yes... just playing in a league for fun or for training is not considered "working".

1. If it is Major Junior A hockey or lower, then he doesn't require a work permit. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/permit/athletes.asp
2. He just extends his visitor permit. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp
