My sponsor (my husband) has got SA yesterday. And in the SA email it says our application has been sent to Hongkong visa office. But in the application package, I have done an upfront medical exam, and the medical center should have sent the result to Beijing visa office. (Because at that time, according to the information online, the place where I live, Hubei province is in the charge of Beijing visa office.)

What should I do now?
1. Make a request to Beijing office so that they can help transfer the medical result to Hongkong office?
2. Or wait for the medical request from Hongkong office?

Thanks!

In a couple of days check ecas and see if medical results have been received,or try today.

But if I recall corretly, the upfront medical exam result will be sent to a visa office that the applicant appoionted. Is that right?

Mine should have been sent to the wrong visa office. What should I do?

Give it a few days to see what ECAS does. The medical system is e-medical, so results can be easily transferred between offices.

There's some funky office stuff going on with London, UK applicants, where some applications are going to London, and some are staying behind in Canada for processing. Presumably everyone would have specified London when they did their medicals, and CIC inside of Canada has had no issue having medicals transferred themselves. In addition, a whole whack of applications sent to Islamabad initially were forwarded to London for processing... again, all those people had their medicals arrive in London just fine.

So I wouldn't worry about it. CIC will contact you if they can't find your medical. :)

Medical results are not sent to visa offices, they are sent to RMO - Regional Medical Offices. These are separate from the visa offices.

It doesn't matter what RMO in the world your medical is sitting at. When your visa office wants to process your medical, they will use the receipt number of your medical that you submitted with your app and access it from whatever RMO it was sent to.

Reports indicate that you are not the only whose application was expected to go to Beijing but instead is going to Hong Kong. There has apparently been some sort of policy decision to move cases, at least new cases, to Hong Kong such that there would have to be some CIC mechanism to move those files without every applicant having to take the initiative to place their application with a particular overseas office.

If they are sending it to Hong Kong despite the CIC website currently saying to should go to Beijing, presumably Beijing is backlogged so it should be good news that they are sending it to another office.

I'd also note that if you sent your upfront form to Mississauga and Mississauga has sent your application to Hong Kong then obviously Hong Kong will have that.
