I am trying to get the bank letters from my Westpac bank(Australian). I am currently in Netherlands. The problem is that i have contacted Westpac multiple times and told them that i need the bank letters as per CIC's requirement, and i need some kind of proof( like signature or stamp) from the bank. All the times, they assured me that proof of balance and other details are obtainable from my online westpac banking and they are authentic with Westpac letter on every letter. They told me that it is acceptable even for Visa applications. See the proof of balance--> image 1. Do you think this will be okay? I was in Australia on a student visa and i have noticed that Aussie economy is going digital and everything can be obtain through online or mobile. They reassured that these documents are authentic. But i am still worried as one of my friend was able to get a bank letter with all the details from Standard Chartered with stamp and signature. The bank told me even if someone comes to the bank to get the bank details on behalf of me, they will just give the documents that i have already obtain through online banking(pics). Please watch the youtube video about the proof of balance from westpac. Even over there, they say it is accepted by Government agencies. These online documents have everything which CIC requires: Bank details, address, Phone, but not email. Opening Balance, Current balances of all the accounts(image 1). Even for the transactions for last 6 months, i can get it. Look at the photo. with a range(image 2).

Has anyone applied for Express entry, by having an Australian bank, and being outside Australia? What and how documents you provided for CIC's financial requirements?

I don't see any issues. I submitted bank statements from USA bank which were generated online and didn't have any bank stamps and they were accepted by IRCC.

Another question. When should i generate these documents before applying? A Few days before applying is fine? Or should i generate these on the same date as the application?

I am also in the same situation. Additionally, I have taken a loan from a bank. It is taking forever for the bank to give me an official loan statement. Can I just go and take a copy of their online statements and submit that with my eAPR application? Would that work? Please advise.

Hi @Yopi , the statement was generated with transactions from 6 months ago till the day lodging application.
Hi @rajesh1089, did include the mortgage statement back up to 6 months.

Thanks @PandaOnCloud for your reply. I have included the 6 monthly statements for loan from their website. I hope that suffices to show my monthly payments and also outstanding principal balance etc.

A lot of banks decline to provide bank letters like the way it said on IRCC website. It is not an issue. You can generate the letter online and submit it to IRCC and you can explain it in your LOE that the bank declined to issue you a custom letter and they give only the online options.
