Hey fellows actually i applied as private sponsored syrian refugee in Quebc from Egypt and i was forced to transfer my application to turkey and surprisingly it was processed quickly. I made my interview in the end of April 2019 and it was smooth and everything went good also did my medical check in May 2019 and nothing was wrong with it the interviewer said that there will be a background security check which will probably take 6 month less or more. am checking my online statue and its written in process any similar cases

Yes i have the similar case like you but i have a diffrent situation ..
i had a diffecult Interview and ive got almost a refused but i answered a letter to the visa officer
after that i e-mailed the embassy to know if there is any update
i had an answer that there will be a background check on my application ..
three mounths been passed i'm still waiting...

Any update felllows? Seems like COVID-19 has put every case on pause. My one is showing "in process" and it's over 2 years since we first file our case.

Also still waiting and no any update unfortunately. On May it’s gonna be one year since i made interview and for sure they stopped all cases because of COVID-19.
I would like to ask you question. Did you send email to embassy about your application?

Hello Yesterday I sent an e-mail to the Embassy so I’ve got this today from them :

Good day, you have reached the Migration Section of the Canadian Embassy in Turkey. Please note that due to the current worldwide pandemic and the current travel restrictions to Canada, our office is only providing essential services. We appreciate your patience as we monitor a fluid situation in regard to travel to Canada.



If you have applied for resettlement under one of Canada’s refugee or humanitarian programs, please be informed that the processing of your application is on hold until further notice.



Note that if you have concerns regarding your status in your host country or the validity of your status document, please contact the IOM and/or the UNHCR.

Hello sfs1,
Back in early January this i sent an email to embassy, when life was moving normal, asking for an update- I was told that my case is close to completion and that i do not need to do anything and i should wait for a final decision. After that this COVID-19 thing started and there is no news to when I could get a decision.
Hope situation get back to normal soon and that we all witness progress on our cases.

My PR application has not been approved(DM) almsot 4 month now I have completed everything including medical and interview, my medical already received before march 18, guys do you think my application approved(DM) and finalized during this pandemic? Can any one tell us time line for DM ....
