Received the MAGIC Email on Monday, Jan 13, 2014. Already sent passports to CPP. Now waiting for them to send it back with PR Stamp. Feeling releived and HAPPY.

Usually how long it takes to receive passport back?

CONGRATULATIONS, man. It's such a relief. Enjoy your time.

Important Guys! They consider 17 months processing time from the time CPP Ottawa received our files ! Not the time Sydney- Nova Scotia receives it. Between these two there is 4-5 months gap. Today, I got the news from our MP. So, keep praying and be patient. April is final months for May/Jun folks.

Timeline: Sydney: May 3, 2012
Medical: Jun 28, 2012
CPP-Ottawa: November 16, 2012
RPRF: July 10, 2013
In Process: July 18, 2013

Keep praying, we are close.

I don't think so. Even in their email, they say the processing time is calculated from the day that the application is being received.the one that shows on ecase.

My region's MP told me the same thing that they start processing application after Ottawa receives the file and the processing time starts from that day not the day when Sydney receives it.

As a matter of fact, I did and I received my GCMS note and CIC email on same day.

what's GCMS and how that helps ??

also, it will be about 1yr since i applied which makes my police checks over 1yr old - did they asked anyone to get a new ones ? would it be smart to get them just in case ??

GCMS=Global Case Management System
Its give you each and every point of the proses of your file, ... GCMS gives you clear picture of your file. GCMS can not help to faster your file.
