Has anyone filled passport application form with computer/online except Canadian citizenship certificate number. I have oath this Friday, I have filled the form except certificate number. I want to get sign from my guarantor immediately after the oath and apply passport asap. In short, everything things in the form will be computer typed except the certificate number. Is that okay?

Yes you can do that. Fill in everything, get it signed and date it then once you have certificate number just use pen to add missing stuff!

Why the rush? You will possibly not be able to apply for a passport until the following week anyway.
They have to update the system to confirm your taking of the Oath and receipt of the citizenship certificate.
This is NOT done before the Oath ceremony.

You can apply next day as long as your ECAS shows COMPLETE. They advise to wait 48 hours for system to update. I had situation where i had to travel that same week and i got all paperwork prepared in advance and just filled in citizenship certificate number, checked next morning after oath that the ECAS show complete went to passport office and got urgent passport done in 2 days.

There are always exceptions to the 48 hours recommended delay. However, it's risky assuming that it will be done sooner.
Booking travel on the assumption that it will all be quick and easy is dangerous.

Thanks a lot for this. Your's and mine situations are almost the same. My guarantor has a long weekend plan, they will come with us during the ceremony, sign the application and leave the city (luckily will be in Canada and able to receive calls). If everything goes well, I am planning to apply citizenship on Tuesday morning, as I have a planned travel on the following week.

Everyones situation is different. We cant just sit around and wait for IRCC to make a call for OATH or anything else. People make plans in advance.

You nailed it, everyone situation is different and things designed/developed for general situation may not fit to these different cases. I have been in the city where I live now for less than 2 years. So I have to ask a friend of mine (form the city where we lived/worked/studied before for more than 9 years) to come to our place to be our guarantor and this weekend is a long weekend (or may be the last warm long weekend before the cold arrives), most of us have plans.

In my case, my travelled planned was scheduled way before they even sent us test invitation. I even told my interviewer about my plan. My situation is neither I can change my travel nor i want to reschedule my oath. So solution is to plan for the edge case :).

Anyway, I got my answer. I can write citizenship certificate with pen.

A quick update.
I had my oath on last Friday. I filled my forms before the oath ceremony and took it with me. Once I received the certificate, I wrote citizenship certificate number with black pen and used the same pen to signed and date the application. Furthermore, my guarantor used the same pen to signed and fill her information. I went to passport office on the next business day, i.e., Tuesday (labor day long weekend). It was accepted. To my surprise, I found that I am among very few applicants (during the time I waited there), who actually filled application online. I saw most of the applicants were with the passport forms that you can collect from locations of Canada post, Service Canada, etc.

FYI, I applied at Ottawa passport office.
