Principle Applicant Brith certificate original or photo copy?

hello , for indian spouse prinicple applicant , do we need to sumbit original birth certificate or photo copy is fine. I checked country specific requirements and got confused. Please share your personal experience if you sumbited original or photocopy of your spouse's birth certificate?

They do specify that the the original of the PCC is needed but when it comes to marriage certificate, they say in the beginning of the guide 'submit photocopies unless instructed otherwise' A Certified Copy of the Original if dealing NDVO is what we sent. AND if dual English+regional then OK otherwise anything else than English then plz submit A Certified of the Original + another A Certified TRANSLATED COPY of the Original by a Certified Translator. Keep Original with you. That's all Thanx

OK same applies to all except PCC. Any other doc like birth /marriage/death/school certificates >Please have then Certified, if translated attach a Certified Translated copy stamped by a Notary whose Stamp should read Accepted by World Embassies >>something like that is available near all courts of India. SO send A certified Copy of Birth Cer. if its in English or DUAL, but if it is in regional I wrote above what to do. Hope this is clear and thats what we did. AND THEY ARE working on 24th JULY no matter who phoned them same answer for outland apps. Hope they change that date.

Hi,
We just submitted photocopies of the birth certificate. Got ppr just to assure you. Like stated by singleman, pcc is the only origial document required. In our case the birth was registered late, so we sent photocopies of the grade 10 certificate, adhar card and voters card along with the photocopy of the birth certificate. Hope this helps.
