Hallo,

Are there any principal applicant that got pregnant during the PR process? How did you managed with MR? Did you mailed directly the visa office and asked for extension for you and your husband/partner? Had anyone experienced this scenario while applying outside of Canada?
Thanks for any advice/suggestion

Hi,
if pregnant, you will do your medicals apart form the X ray, which will be done after delivery.

We went through the same. I was the principal applicant and few months into the processing my wife was pregnant.

Here is what to do:

Send an email to CIC about pregnancy and mention about your pregnancy and intention to add you child to the application post delivery. Ask them to send the steps to add child after birth. No need to explicitly mention that you intend to put your application on hold.

Once you receive MR, go ahead with the medical exams except for x-ray, the physician will have to send a deferral letter to CIC along with your partial results. The deferral letter infact acts as the official intimation that the applicant is pregnant, cannot undergo x-ray and hence the application has to be put on hold.

Once the partial medical exams are done send one more email from your end too to CIC saying that medicals were completed partially due to pregnancy and you would complete x-ray immediately after delivery.

If spouse or the PA is pregnant, the entire application will go on hold by default.

Hi All,

I got married last year and included my spouse in my application.
I got visa ready email from CPC Ottawa office to send passport for stamping on 19th Feb 2015.
As I am currently living in India, I requested CIC to make arrangement for stamping at CHC-New Delhi.
I got the request from CHC-New Delhi on 24th Feb 2015 to send passport.

Now, my wife is expected to give birth towards the end of September.
We are planning to do our landing in Canada by the end of March 2015 or by 1st week of April.

Do I need to disclose to CIC that my wife is expected?

I am confused as the email which I received from CPC-Ottawa and CHC-New Delhi differs in their requirement.

Please suggest if it is fine to land and become PR and later inform CIC.

Below are the content of the emails

Send an email to CPC-O with your situation and they will suggest you with the next steps.

I am in same situation as you were with regard to visa office. Did you mention in email to transfer the file to CHC-New Delhi? Our PPR emails came out on same day, but, I didn't receive any confirmation of file transfer or request from CHC in India yet :(

Have you requested for your GCMS notes yet? If you had, what did it say?
