Hi All,

I am submitting webform in VFS portal after receiving my PPR. There are 2 options for PR - one is for submission of passport for PRTD and one for Permanent Residence(Economic PR etc) - which one should I select? Is PRTD for applicants that already have a PR? Please help.

For anyone who got their case approved, have you noticed that PA's biometrics are only valid for a couple of months, while dependent's biometrics is expired already?

For me, Dependent's biometric details disappeared after the status changed to approved.

Please help!!!

I have been waiting for more than a year for my PR application. I am in Canada and my dependent is in India under CEC category

AOR : Oct 15, 2020
Got married on Oct 24, 2020
Spouse upfront Medical Nov 17, 2020
Updated IRCC of marriage on Nov 27, 2020
Gave my Biometric on Dec 07, 2020 in Canada
Got an email and Uploaded all spouse documents and fees Dec 30, 2020

Feb 17, 2021 - they said for spouse medical and RPRF, which I already did/submitted both, took some time but got cleared

After that no update for almost 7 months, send case form and asked for gcms and didn't got notes part yet

Sep 28, 2021 - finally got an update asking for Biometric for my dependent

As there were no appointments available sooner, we were able to get it done on Nov 07, 2021 and it's updated on portal and shows under dependent info.

This wait and delay is very disheartening.

Does anybody know what would be the next steps?
Is there a lot remaining after this?
Somebody told me Biometric for spouse is just the beginning of process for her PR... is it true?
Would they ask remedical?
Should I wait or just consider mandamus application as it's taking forever.

Any help would be appreciated @legalfalcon @legalfalconindia

Biometrics are used for criminality. After that is done the security screening will be the last stage, given that the PA's processing is done.

Select PR option if you are in the right discussion thread. Means, your spouse is outland and received PPR for COPR
Select PRTD option if said person already received COPR within Canada but had to travel outside without getting PR Card.

@tajindertj Thanks. I selected PR. In the list of documents to be provided I need to submit eye color and height details, how do I provide that?

Another question - Ask is for 2 photographs - I am the outland dependent and my spouse is primary applicant in Canada - she has already received her COPR. Do I need to provide her photographs as well or mine will be enough? Letter says provide photographs and eye color and height details of all the applicants.

I am assuming only my details would be enough. Kindly suggest.

Hi Guys,

I got the documents back for my dependent.. everything seems good besides the height... The height says 110 and should be 125.. Dependent is still minor, and therefore growing every day... Should I apply for correction? @legalfalcon your input is greatly appreciated!

Not an issue.

Just type in Spouse's name, UCI, Height, Eye Color in a word file and take a print out.
Photograph of person who is sending in passport for stamping.

@gn911 .my dependents did their remedical on 11nov 2021 n on my profile it has been updated on 13 nov 2021 that you passed medical .so it’s for all of us or just extended mine.any idea .

What I understood is that your Medicals were already passed and now that the dependents got the re-medicals done, theirs has been updated as passed.

yup. eCOPR Aug 8
Hi Tajinder,
Could you please let me know how many days did it take for the PR card after eCOPR ?
Also, did your dependents received the documents back after submitting the PPR request? If so how much time did they take to return them back ?
Thank you !

I am principal applicant in Canada I got first portal mail but not yet copr.My spouse who is in India got passport request. He is required to submit within 30days. My question is does he need to submit it now or wait for my copr.
