Hello -

I may land up in same situation. I have completed the Re medical of Family in OCT..and not seeing any progress after that ..medical passed in last week of Oct. I see the folks whose medical passed in November have received the emails. If PA is going on vacation to home country do we need to inform IRCC for that?. Did you come back on PRTD? How did you manage your immigration check... Your reply will be appreciated.
Not received any ecorp..so no point of PRTD.. he was having valid work permit, and hence was able to travel.

Please help!!!

I have been waiting for more than a year for my PR application. I am in Canada and my dependent is in India under CEC category

AOR : Oct 15, 2020
Got married on Oct 24, 2020
Spouse upfront Medical Nov 17, 2020
Updated IRCC of marriage on Nov 27, 2020
Gave my Biometric on Dec 07, 2020 in Canada
Got an email and Uploaded all spouse documents and fees Dec 30, 2020

Feb 17, 2021 - they said for spouse medical and RPRF, which I already did/submitted both, took some time but got cleared

After that no update for almost 7 months, send case form and asked for gcms and didn't got notes part yet

Sep 28, 2021 - finally got an update asking for Biometric for my dependent

As there were no appointments available sooner, we were able to get it done on Nov 07, 2021 and it's updated on portal and shows under dependent info.

This wait and delay is very disheartening.

Does anybody know what would be the next steps?
Is there a lot remaining after this?
Somebody told me Biometric for spouse is just the beginning of process for her PR... is it true?
Would they ask remedical?
Should I wait or just consider mandamus application as it's taking forever.

Any help would be appreciated @legalfalcon @legalfalconindia

My case is similar to yours, AOR AUG2020, got married post AOR. It’s a good news that your spouse’s biometric is done and updated. In my case, post my spouse’s biometric, my application got approved in a month. And later I just got the remedial request.
So I am hoping the same in your case, I don’t thing other than remedial(ONLY IF THEY ASK) any further step is pending.
Have some patience, you are not alone bro.. there are many in similar situation.. let’s wait and hope for the best.

I got a remedical request for my Outland dependent (Spouse) on Oct 6th. Medicals were done on 8th and it got updated in my profile on Oct 29th.
Nov 9th received PPR for her.
Nov 11th received my pre-invitation email.

Expect some good news in the coming weeks after medicals are updated in the profile.
@gn911 .my dependents did their remedical on 11nov 2021 n on my profile it has been updated on 13 nov 2021 that you passed medical .so it’s for all of us or just extended mine.any idea .

Mandamus is not something that will be applicable to everyone. Consult a reputable lawyer if you are considering this route

Here is a resource about mandamus written by someone authoritative https://www.bellissimolawgroup.com/urgent-immigration-cases/mandamus/

Hi Everyone, I have an urgent query! Please help! My AOR is 3rd September'21 and all requirements including medical and biometrics have been done. I have also received a GU on Nov 3. I have applied under CEC with PA inland and 1 outland dependent.
Currently, I am in India and my dependent is also in India. Will it affect my application as I have come across the new virtual landing process which states that I have to be in Canada at the time of declaration? Can I declare that I am not in Canada and get my PPR in India without coming back to Canada? I have a valid visitors visa, however, my dependent does not. We want to travel together. Is it possible?
Please help! I am confused!
