Not sure why there are giving ITA, when they can't process and not allowing anyone to travel. We are just wasting money I fell

Long story, short: If you have applied already for a permanent residence and your dependants are included but out of the country, they will not be granting any visitor visa or study visa to them until the permanent residence application is processed. On the other hand, they just granted entrance to Canada as an immediate family only if you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident. I have the same issue with my daughter who is back in my home country and she holds already a visitor visa but because she is included in our permanent residence application she is will not able to travel. We found out this from an Immigration officer after they denied her study visa. At least until this Covid stage still in place.
That means we wasted our money

Maybe if it is a study or visit visa, I've seen so many people getting their spouse open work permit approved even though they have a pending PR application. An open work permit is been approved for sure if they meet the requirements for folks that have their dependant out of the country and have a pending pr

My wife’s SOWP was just approved last week, I am inland and she is outland, both applied together for PR with AOR August 23. So what Dragonsoul says is not true...

Hi Everyone,

I am the perspective CEC candidate. There will be two scenarios in my case,

1. Apply only for myself as an inland applicant under the CEC stream, then sponsor spouse once i get PR?
2. Apply for CEC, myself as the main applicant and dependent as an outland candidate? The primary visa office will be Ottawa and the secondary will be Dubai as I know.

Option#1 will take about 18 months to bring my spouse here, as per current timelines.
Option#2 not sure, since dependent is the outland candidate

Please advice, Thanks

I'm talking about my 16-year-old daughter, perhaps for spouses is different, I'm just telling what is our case which is what we have been through

Option 1 will definitely more than 18 months under the current circumstance. BTW even if you apply PR alone, you still have to give a lot of information of your spouse.

Hi Guys.. Did anyone's dependants landed in Canada? Also, how long does it take to get CoPR after updating dependant's address to canadian address?

Cic is very inhumane in the way they treat, this is pretty much torture, is there any other step we can take to get this considered, any thoughts?
