Primary Occupation Q

Dear all,
I need to confirm this before submitting my application, and I need your help.

In one of the steps the system asks the following when stating the Primary Occupation:
Date Mr.x first became qualified to practice in this occupation

If the "primary occupation" is:

  • a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
  • any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)
My question is what date should I state? My diploma date? especially that I started my full time job 2 years earlier than the diploma was granted and I am claiming those 2 years as work experience and have got a letter from my company which covers that period before graduation.

Please advise,

Thank you

I got the same question. For my NOC (I am fsw, not trade), there is no basic requirement for my work since it's a management position (my code is 0421 or 0651, still struggling to pick one). What should I enter? The date on which I became the manager? Thanks.
