Hi guys, i went to the interview at Etobicoke Office yesterday, and I like to share with you guys, the interview was "OK", we stay together all the time, she asked couple questions, easy questions, and looked the documents i provided (joint bank accounts, Mortgage, Utility bills, extra photos), to make the long story short, my wife (the sponsor) she had a 2 years previous marriage, and divorced 5 months after she got the PR, because his ex-husband committed adultery, she caught him with another woman and she didnt accepted that! The officer asked direct to my wife's face! Do you married to get status in Canada? My wife said NOT! and she asked to my wife to explain why she divorced so fast! My wife explained to her all the issues of the adultery, everything!! she said ok, i dont have more questions, you guys can go and wait for the letter with my decision! I don't know what is gonna happen, the only thing I know is my file was transfered because of my wife's previous marriage! Have you guys know similar situation and what was the decision from them?!

Please excuse my English, I'm learning!
Thank you!

Sounds positive to me. With such few questions clearly she's not that suspicious of your marriage. I think your wife will be granted status

i think you are going to be fine ! let us know when you know

...Still waiting... ???

I think there would have been more questions if she was really suspicious. Hope you get good news. :)

It seems positive to me, very few woman forgive a cheating husband also the interviewer was a woman i am sure she understand that its very normal a woman to leave for this reason. Wish you the best and keep us updated!

Hey Guys, my wife's ECAS got some update today!!

We received your application to sponsor Xxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx on January 10, 2011.

We started processing your application on December 9, 2011.

We transferred your application to the CIC Etobicoke office on December 9, 2011. The CIC Etobicoke office may contact you.

We sent you a letter on June 14, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

What you guys think? Just AIP or both? :o

I have a question on how you fill out details on a previous marriage. There are from and to dates for length of the relationship, a divorce date, and a separation date. The separation date is self explanatory. The divorce date can either be date of decree or date it becomes effective (usually 1 month later). I used the latter. But for length of relationship what exactly are they asking? I put the date from marriage to effectice date of divorce. But they say "relationship" as opposed to "marriage" so I am wondering should I really be listing how long we were involved in a relationship, even before marriage?

Hi I think you got approved..My ecas was like that and i got my COPR in the mail...

Hi guys, thanks for the answers, actually I got AIP on June 14, now the second stage agony just started! I hope don't take that long!

That's great news..don't worry too much about the 2nd stage, i'm sure you will be ok..

Hi guys its me again! Today I received another letter from CIC with this:
After reviewing your file it is noted that we are missing the following information:
-Medical examination
-Right of Permanent Fee $490,00.
I'm not sure, if I have to do again because it's expired, or if is missing this document on my file?! Also they sent (Medical Report : Section A) with my photo, i dont know what to do!?!
Another question is if they asking for a Right of Permanent Fee that means I got approved in the second stage? Because As far I know this Fee ($490,00)has to be paid in the land day, correct?

Most people pay the 490 before sending their application, but yes you should be approved. Go get the medical done, don't worry about if it's lost or anything, you'll stress yourself out! Congrats!
