Previous job NOC doesn't match with the present job

Posting it on bahalf of a friend.

My friend's previous job experience doesn't match with the present one. He doesn't want to claim any point for it either. Now, should he mention the previous job in the profile?

Would that be an issue? I've had two long term jobs each with a different NOC. Are they supposed to be the same so they count?
This NOC system is too complicated for me, I don't understand it.

Jobs don't need to be related, you can claim experience with different NOC or field. The only requirement is that at least you got 1 year full time in one of that skilled jobs NOC.

In EE profile, it categorically asks you to select the NOC with which you want to apply for EE draw.
After that section, you may enter as many different NOC's in your Work profile history as you desire, it will only consider your earlier selected NOC for calculating experience related score. And you will be required to furnish reference letters for other NOC experience to justify the gap years.

Thanks everyone. But what if he doesn't mention the previous job in the application. Will it be a problem after getting ITA? I mean, he'll have to describe the personal hystory in the eAPR.

I added both with different NOCs. But why would that be an issue? From what I understood around the forum we don't need to add our entire work history in the EE profile but will have to explain it all in the personal history

Basically it's gonna be very difficult for me to get job reference letters from my previous employers. So i was thinking, since i am not going to claim any points for my previous jobs, would it be necessary to mention them in the work history? Or must the job reference letter be given for a job i am not claiming any points for?
