Previous employment check???

Guys, i have been working in a company which declared bankruptcy 14 months ago. I need to show to the embassy one employment certificate which i took when the company ceased the operation. Now my question is: By any chance the embassy will contact the company or not beacuse that does not exist anymore?

Hi Pilot,

Not sure where you're from but here in Pakistan things open and close without a trace and official websites are also just starting to pop up, so its difficult I understand.

However I think you should provide whatever information you have and if the time comes and they cant reach your employers you can explain the situation to them.

I dont think they will contact employers... on the form you are not asked to provide any job certificates or anything like that....

Thank you guys, i am in process of appealing my visa refusal and my lawyer needs proof of my previous job. What about my previous salary, are they able to track it?

I don't think they are able to or if they would even go to the trouble.

I also worked for a company that is already closed, so I couldn't get an employment certificate. Since it was a publishing firm, I just sent in copies of my published work as well as an explanation letter that the company is already closed.
