Does Pretoria do virtual interviews?

My husband lives in Johannesburg and we applied for a spousal immigration in Oct 2021. Everything seemed to go relatively smoothly and his medicals were passed in May 2022. But now we are stuck at the background check. He emailed them for an update (after 3 months of waiting) and they said he will have an interview. Does anyone know what the timeline is like to get an interview date and how long everything takes should be get accepted??
